Welcome to Mrs. Calvert's Third Grade Website for the 2011 - 2012 school year.
Hello! This my 13th year in teaching and I have returned to Hawthorne after teaching 5th grade at Holt Elementary School and 6th grade Communication Arts at Kearney Middle School. I enjoy change and am excited about being back in a 3rd grade classroom. I have also taught 2nd grade here and actually started my career by teaching 3rd grade for 5 years.
I am married to Jim, who is a high school English teacher in Cameron. Together we have 6 adult children ranging in age from 23 to 31. My son is married and has a 6 yr. old daughter and a 3 year old son. Jim's daughter has a 6 year old daughter. We thoroughly enjoy being grandparents!
